Gay guide to LAS VEGAS & What you need to know!

A quick guide to getting the most out of your gay holiday to Las Vegas

The Vegas Sign

You don’t so much visit Vegas as smash right into it, rearing up out of the Nevada desert like some giant flashing, flexing one-armed bandit with its supersized follies, casinos, hotels, shows, restaurants, bars and malls all vying for queer attention.

  • Vegas Party Central!

Vegas is home to the biggest circuit festival, Matinee Memorial Weekend and the biggest cruise party, Hustlaball. These events bring thousands of gay guys from the USA and beyond, so you should book and plan your trip well in advance as sometimes events take place at the same time as major congresses.

  • The party never ends!

Las Vegas bars and clubs are open 24/7 so there is no opening and closing time, although the peak busy times in bars tends to be from 11pm and for clubs by 1am.

Las Vegas is one of the top gay destinations in the United States attracting guys from all over the country and beyond with its stunning hotels, gay-friendly welcome and world-famous circuit parties and events. This is a 24/7 non stop party city. Clubs come and go faster than fashions change!

Gay bars and clubs are spread across the city, but all are within a quick cab ride and taxis are plentiful. There’s a gay bar for all types. The Garage is off the Strip by Flamingo is a hot sports bar and if you’ve got tattoos, check out Marked Up Mondays to get drinks for your ink. Charlie’s Las Vegas is the only LGBTQ country bar in Las Vegas. But believe us, it’s enough. There’s no better place to corral yourself a cowboy – or at least let one pour you a strong and affordable drink. Funhog Ranch has your desires for leather and jeans covered, even when the leather and jeans barely cover anything at all. Cheap drinks, a great mix of patrons and no last call keep the party hopping as long as you can keep going.

Flex and Goodtimes Bar & Nightclub are two great bars located west of the Strip. And Spotlight Lounge and Badlands Saloon are east of the Strip in a commercial center with Entourage Bathhouse and Hawks Gym. All four bars are open 24 hours and feature happy hours and friendly atmospheres.

And it wouldn’t be Vegas without taking in a show! “Jersey Boys” at Paris Las Vegas and “Rock of Ages” at The Venetian are two shows any musical lover shouldn’t miss. Rock out to some hair metal or be rocked by some hotties in harmony. If you’d like to dip a little more sin in your Sin City affair, taste the sensual side of Cirque du Soleil with “Zumanity” at NY-NY or the daring inventiveness of “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace. And when it comes to drag, no one does it better than Frank Marino and his talented cast of female impersonators in “Divas” at the LINQ Hotel & Casino.
